KINGSTON, Jamaica— Kishane Thompson ran a personal best 9.77 seconds (0.9m/s) to win his first men’s 100m title at the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) National Championships at the National Stadium on Friday, to crown what was a magnificent showcase of world class sprinting.

Last year’s champion Oblique Seville was second, equalling his personal best of 9.82 seconds with Ackeem Blake third in 9.92 seconds.
