#NationalTrials: Exciting men’s hurdles final set for Sunday

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The last two men’s sprint hurdles Olympic champions, Hansle Parchment and Omar McLeod, and Commonwealth Games champion Rasheed Broadbell are set to clash in the final of the 110m hurdles on Sunday’s final day of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) at the National Stadium.

The men qualified after Saturday’s semi-finals and will be seeking the three spots on the Jamaican team to the Olympic Games in August.

Parchment won his semi final in 13.42 seconds (-0.1m/s); McLeod, who last competed internationally in 2019, was second in his heat in 13.34 seconds (-0.9m/s), beaten by Broadbell- 13.32 seconds. Orlando Bennett led the qualifying with a season’s best 13.28 seconds (-0,2m/s).

They will be joined by Tyler Mason-13.30 seconds (-0.2m/s), NCAA finalist Jerome Campbell- 13.50 seconds and Odario Phillips-13.47 seconds.
