Operations at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston are expected to resume at 5:00 am on Friday.

An official at the airport confirmed the news with Observer Online on Thursday, stating that the runway, terminal, and other facilities at the airport are in order.

The source also revealed that two technicians are currently on site assessing the damage caused to a section of the roof of the airport’s passenger boarding pier. A temporary fix will reportedly be made to ensure operations run smoothly amid the scheduled reopening.
