St Elizabeth teens charged after housebreaking

Detectives assigned to the St Elizabeth Police Division have charged two teens, ages 13 and 17, following a housebreaking incident in Lance Wood district, Middle Quarters in the parish on Friday, December 20.

Reports from the Black River Police are that about 7:00 am, a man securely locked his house and left for work. He later received a call that two boys were seen leaving his house.

Upon his return, he discovered that his front door was damaged, food items and an undetermined sum of cash was missing. A report was made to the police, and the scene was visited.

The teens were subsequently arrested and jointly charged with housebreaking, larceny and malicious destruction of property on Monday, December 23.

Their court date is being finalised.
