ST MARY, Jamaica— An elderly man is suspected to have committed suicide at his home in Retreat, St Mary on Sunday morning after he reportedly ingested gramoxone.
He has been identified as 74-year-old Fredrick Riggs.
Reports from the Port Maria Police are that about 8:30 am, Riggs was at home with family members when he complained of being unhappy.
It is reported that Riggs was seen with a bottle of green substance, said to be gramoxone, which he reportedly drank and began vomiting.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
