Dancehall artiste Skillibeng brought some Jamaican flavour to the 2024 BET Awards stage.

The Crocodile Teeth deejay performed alongside South African singer Tyla and American rapper Gunna on their Billboard-charting hit Jump.

Jump is taken from Tyla’s self-titled debut album. The song has been doing well at rhythmic radio in the United States. It has also made its way on multiple Billboard charts.

On last week’s charts, Jump slipped from #28 to #29 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, while improving from #22 to #19 on Rhythmic Top 40 Airplay. On Hot R&B Songs, Jump moves up from #8 to #7, while on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, it inches up from #34 to #33. On the US Afrobeats Songs chart, Jump made its way to its original peak at #3.

The BET Awards took place at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.

Tyla, who won two awards at the BET Awards, Best International Act (Africa) and Best New Artiste, is managed by Jamaican Colin Gayle, who hails from Manchester.
