Droptop Records, in collaboration with Unruly Entertainment and 1Law Entertainment, have released what is set to be a 2025 anthem Kick It Wid Myself, on the powerful New Beginnings rhythm, the video for which was released on January 3, 2025.

The single has already captured hearts and climbed to an impressive #1 on YouTube’s trending charts.

Produced by Rowan Melhado, formerly known as Droptop, indicated that the track delivers a raw and honest depiction of disloyalty and betrayal in friendships and relationships. The relatable theme has resonated deeply with listeners, solidifying the track as a staple in dancehall discussions for the year.

Melhado shared his thoughts: “This track is deeply personal. It reflects real experiences that many of us face daily. I’m humbled by the love it’s receiving and eager to see how far this project will go.”

The release is accompanied by a full-scale promotional campaign in partnership with Unruly Entertainment and 1Law Entertainment, which will include special performances.

The song’s success has come amidst controversy following an altercation between dancehall giants Popcaan, Chronic Law, and renowned producer Skatta Burrell at the recent Freedom Street Concert.

Melhado commented on the situation, emphasising the importance of unity: “These moments remind us how intense this industry can be, but it also shows the dedication and love we all have for the music. Kick It Wid Myself is proof that, even through challenges, creativity thrives.”

The collaboration between Droptop Records, Unruly Entertainment, and 1Law Entertainment is said to underscore a new wave of synergy in dancehall, with Kick It Wid Myself leading the charge.

The single is available now on all major streaming platforms.
