Jahriffe seeks to empower youth with new single, ‘Shine Bright’

Soul-reggae visionary Jahriffe promises to ignite a cultural and spiritual fire with his new single, Shine Bright.

The track is touted as a soul-stirring anthem calling youth across Africa, Jamaica, and the global diaspora to awaken, rise, and radiate the light within.

“This song came from a space of truth,” Jahriffe said in a press release. “It’s a reminder to all of us — especially the youth across Africa and the diaspora—that no matter what we face, our inner light is unshakable. We are rooted in greatness.”

The production of the track was a collaborative journey between Jahriffe and producer David Goldfin, also known as Jah D.

“I wrote the song and the chord pattern, and we both worked on the melody,” Jahriffe explained. “The song actually started off as something completely different, but we scratched that version and followed a new direction — and what emerged was something phenomenal. The gifts of creation are amazing.”

Jahriffe describes his role not just as a musician, but as a conduit.

“I am a bridge that seeks to help others cross — with the security of knowing the Most High will always provide what we need. I’m not just speaking words — I’m offering real, tangible things. My music is a tool to stimulate that junction where we realize the interdependence of the whole,” he said.

For young listeners navigating identity and spiritual grounding, Shine Bright is touted as a lifeline.

“You are not lost,” Jahriffe said. “You’re part of something powerful. Your culture, your spirit, your voice—they matter. This is about reclaiming your divine light and stepping boldly into your destiny.”

Deeply informed by his Jamaican and African heritage, Jahriffe reflects: “I carry Queen Nanny of the Maroons in my DNA, with traced roots to the great Dahomey Empires. I carry the strength of Ghana—the gateway—and the rhythm of the Caribbean. My music embodies solidarity.”

In alignment with this mission, Jahriffe and his team launched the #GlowUpSeason campaign under the Black Star Renaissance Culture Exchange Initiative. This summer, they bring the movement to Ghana under the banner of “the Renaissance One Love Xperience — a cultural and economic connectivity initiative powered by authenticity, legacy, and limitless love.

With this release, Jahriffe is setting the tone for a larger movement — one rooted in music, but expanding into cultural exchange, youth empowerment, and Afro-Caribbean collaboration across Ghana and beyond.

Shine Bright is available on all major streaming platforms.
