KINGSTON, Jamaica— Boasty, a 2019 hit single by British rapper Wiley featuring Stefflon Don, Sean Paul and actor and musician Idris Elba, was last week certified gold in France for sales and streaming exceeding 100,000 units.
The certification was issued by Syndicat national de l’édition phonographique which translates to National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP).
Boasty was a hit on the British charts, reaching #11 on the Official UK Singles chart, #82 in Ireland, #31 in Scotland and #35 on US Rhythmic Top 40 Airplay.
The song was previously certified platinum in the UK (600,000 units).
This is the second song by Stefflon Don which has been certified gold in France. She achieved that feat in 2017 with Hurtin Me featuring French Montana.
For Sean Paul, it’s his fifth gold certified single in France. The others are Get Busy, Hey DJ with CNCO and Meghan Trainor, Danny on Dangerous featuring Sofia Reyes and Dynamite featuring Sia.
