KINGSTON, Jamaica – Reigning 200m World Champion Shericka Jackson opened her 2025 season on Saturday, finishing second in the 60m at the Queen’s Grace Jackson Invitational Meet at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Jackson clocked 7.18 seconds, finishing behind Jodean Williams who clocked 7.15 seconds
It was a return to the track after six months for the 30-year old who missed the 100m and 200m events at the 2024 Paris Olympics due to injury.
Jackson will be looking to defend her 200m title and possibly challenge for the 100m crown at the World Athletics Championships in September.
