The nightlife in New Kingston has received a boost, thanks to the opening of One Park Restaurant and Lounge which promises diverse entertainment offerings to its customers.

Located at 1 Park Close in New Kingston across from Emancipation Park, the facility promises to add a new dimension to dining and entertainment options.

In an interview with the Jamaica Observer recently, Patricia Wright Myrie, a director of the company, gave a brief insight into what the entertainment offerings will be.

“Yes, entertainment is an integral part of our concept. We plan to host live music, DJ nights, and curated events to enhance the overall experience. And yes, One Park is available for private rentals. Our team will work closely with clients to tailor each event to meet their needs,” said Wright Myrie.

Asked what was it that inspired the opening of the restaurant and lounge, Wright Myrie said: “One Park Restaurant and Lounge came from the shared passion of four friends who love food and have developed a deep appreciation for world-class steaks. Our vision was shaped by the camaraderie we’ve enjoyed dining together. It’s always fun when we’re together and we want to share this with others who know and love the feeling of ‘togetherness over food. Our exposure to first-class service and exceptional culinary experiences across the world is something that we wanted to bring to Kingston as a standard.”

As it relates to the target demographic, Wright Myrie said: “Our target demographic includes professionals, socialites, and food enthusiasts who value high-quality dining, a sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere, and most importantly, an audience that understands value for money. We also welcome families, groups of friends, and anyone seeking premium experience for dining or unwinding.”

One Park Restaurant and Lounge is open seven days each week from 11:00 am to midnight. The staff complement consists of 22 people, including highly trained chefs, experienced mixologists and attentive service professionals who share a commitment to excellence.

“We are investing in elevated service standards that will change the narrative of ‘Jamaica not knowing good customer service.’ This is something that we have all heard, and it’s important to us to prioritize excellent service as a key measure of our success.

“We will also provide a welcoming space where a diverse audience can enjoy a dining experience that celebrates exceptional food, whether it’s a casual meal, a family outing, or a special occasion, we aim to deliver an inclusive atmosphere with dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. Our lounge on the other hand, offers a sophisticated space designed for entertainment and relaxation – featuring a cigar lounge, a curated selection of premium wines, spirits, and expertly mixed cocktails,” Wright Myrie shared.

Last December, One Park Restaurant and Lounge opened its doors for an event titled ‘Sunset on the Park’, which was an exclusive and intimate lounge experience.
