48-member team of practical pistol shooters competing at US Extreme Open

FLORIDA, USA -A strong Jamaican contingent of practical pistol shooters is representing the island at the 2025 US Extreme Open at the Volusia Gun Club in Florida, USA.

The competition began on Thursday and will end on Saturday.

The 48-member team representing IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) Jamaica, includes an 18-member team from the Trelawny Tactical Shooting Range led by team captain Charlton Vanriel and pistol captain Josimar Clarke.

Members of the Jamaica Rifle Association make up the rest of the team at the tournament.

Jamaica has the second largest team participating at the event, which is in its third staging.

The Jamaican team will be pushing hard to take home medals in the various categories at the Practical Shooting IPSC Level 3 tournament.

The team members will participate in divisions such as production optic, standard, production and open in 30 stages to be shot over the three-day period.
