As the Coveside Concert series gets underway with ‘One Drop’ on Saturday at Plantation Cove in St Ann, creative director Vonni Koromanti is predicting that each act will exceed expectations.

The event will feature Barrington Levy, Gramps Morgan, Luciano and Dance Xpressionz.

“Barrington was chosen because of the richness of his catalogue. And also because the people have been clamoring to see him . Luciano was chosen for his stage craft and presence. Together their vocal abilities are unquestioned – each having been named to Rolling Stone 200 Best Singers of All Times,” Koromanti told Observer Online.

She added: “Gramps was chosen because he represents the forward generation of reggae and its fusion with other genres. Dance Xpressionz is bringing the vibes and embodiment of the One Drop. Each act is a headliner with a proven track record of excellence. This is a cultural explosion and one for the books.”

Adding that preparations have been going well to ensure quality patron experience, Koromanti explained that she has her own expectations for the highly anticipated concert.

“I’m most looking forward to the energy between our headliners and the patrons – that vibe you experience when the music takes over,” she said.

The creative director further added that tickets are still available for purchase.

“We have provided all that our patrons need for a leisurely evening out – and don’t forget we have partnered with Knutsford Express for a smooth ride down. Grab your tickets at FESCO, Chicken & Tings, Sharkies, Bramwell Texaco and Plantation Smokehouse,” she said.
