What does Xaymaca mean?

The term “Xaymaca” originates from the language of the Taino people, the indigenous inhabitants of Jamaica before European colonizers arrived. In the Taino language, “Xaymaca” means "land of wood and water". This name beautifully captures the essence of Jamaica’s lush tropical landscapes and abundant natural resources.
