‘MAPHIA’ CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF AN ASSORTED PART OF A FIREARM
34-year-old Garon Paddyfoot, otherwise called ‘Maphia’, of Concord District, Fort George, St Ann, has been charged with Possession of an Assorted Part of a Firearm, during a mobile patrol along Main Street, May Pen, Clarendon, on Sunday, April 13.
Reports are that at about 12:00 p.m., a team of police observed a grey Toyota Fielder motor car being driven suspiciously by Paddyfoot. The police followed the vehicle and intercepted it. A search of Paddyfoot and the vehicle was conducted, and an empty M16 magazine was found in the front passenger door pocket. The vehicle was then towed to the May Pen Police Station pending a thorough search. The other occupants of the vehicle were briefly interviewed by members of CIB and DIU, and their premises were visited and searched; however, nothing illegal was found.
On Monday, April 14, 2025, a caution statement was recorded from Paddyfoot, and he admitted to being the owner of the magazine. He was subsequently charged for the above offence.
His court date is being finalised.
