‘Dangles’ Facing Several Charges Following Wounding

‘DANGLES’ FACING SEVERAL CHARGES FOLLOWING WOUNDING

Nineteen-year-old Dantae Ennever of Gold Avenue, Rose Heights, St James, has been charged with Assault at Common Law, Wounding with Intent, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Using a Firearm to Commit a Scheduled Offence following an incident in his community on Tuesday, January 21.

Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that at about 12:45 p.m., a man was walking along the roadway towards his house when he observed Ennever rummaging through a trash can close by his gate. Ennever then brandished a firearm, pointed it at the man, and then approached him. As he got closer to the man, he pulled a knife and inflicted a stab wound to his chest. He then made his escape on foot in the area. The injured man was assisted to the hospital, where he was admitted in serious but stable condition.

The incident was reported to the police on Wednesday, April 9, Ennever turned himself in to the police and was subsequently charged on Friday, April 11, following a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney.

His court date is being arranged.
